Deskripsi
The integration of these four approaches leads to the understanding that the meaning of the Qur’an is not static, but rather always alive, dynamic, and evolving through the interaction between the text, tradition, and context. In the pesantren environments of Al-Ihya Ulumuddin and Norol Iman, this process of reception can be seen in the ways the students read, present, and practice the Qur’an through rituals, moral discipline, social habituation, and the construction of a collective identity. Thus, this interdisciplinary approach not only explains what students understand about the Qur’an but also how that understanding is shaped by their social and cultural experiences.
Hopefully, this book will contribute to the development of Living Qur’an studies while enriching the integrative discourse between classical Islamic studies and social-humanities approaches.
